Henry Kapono’s On The Rise Artists Showcase presents the next generation of Hawaiʻi musicians through a program designed to help emerging artists build sustainable careers as professional entertainers. Through mentorship, career guidance, paid performance opportunities, master classes, and hands-on industry experience, On The Rise artists develop their skills in songwriting, marketing, self-promotion, stage presence, and performance while gaining valuable insight into both the art and business of music

Rising to fame in the '70s as one half of the iconic duo Cecilio & Kapono (C&K), Kapono continues to inspire sold-out audiences worldwide. Heading Kapono Inc., a premier entertainment company, he remains a leading figure in Hawai'i's music scene, releasing new music and playing to loyal fans across the globe. With a career spanning decades, he has expanded his roles to include film producer, music director, and community leader. In 2018, he established The Henry Kapono Foundation to support Hawaiʻi's music industry through programs, grants, education, and resources.

    Hilo-born, Oʻahu-based singer-songwriter Jenna Keala pairs soulful vocals and expressive guitar work with a genre-spanning blend of R&B, acoustic soul, pop, reggae, and local influences. Performing professionally for more than a decade, Jenna is also a dedicated music educator and released her debut original single, “Heartbreak Friend.”

Of Dominican and Puerto Rican heritage, the multilingual artist studied Afro-Cuban percussion in Paris and transforms her global experiences into deeply expressive, socially conscious performances.
