During the 1930 perhaps even earlier, one didn't have to go toHarlem for the Jazz scene. Brooklyn had one as well. Bedford Stuyvesant had on of the largest Jazz neighborhood in around. Bed Stuy held many venues that housed jazz greats                        Debbie McClain, owner of Sankofa Aban Bed and Breakfast looked to revive the local community scene of the past when she met Eric Lemons an accomplished string musician and became co-founding partners of BrownstoneJAZZ.
