21 years and over
THE LAUREATES released their debut 7” in 2007, followed by two full-length albums: There Are No More Gentlemen (2008) and Spells (2011). The songs on these records recalled trace sounds of childhoods spent listening to the underground rock of the 80s and 90s and the classic rock and roll heard on the radio in dad’s car — as if the Pixies and Pavement were contemporaries of The Beatles or The Who. Because it’s been awhile, the band plans to release its third full-length And Then Not Even Then in early 2018.
CROSS COUNTRY started in 2014 as the lofi pop project of Ezra Saulnier, before evolving to a band including Thom Meyer, Emily McColgan and John Clooney. As the band slowly left its hometown of Oxford, it played tirelessly, traveling out of town on weekends while making roots in Cincinnati. Trials is the result of these shifts, an album of spry post punk written in the spring and summer.
It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Chicago hotdoggers INNKEEPERS at the Bottle. Their last show almost five years ago with GALACTIC INMATE and THE WARMBLOODS. We’re excited to bring back their high-octane rhetoric of melodic pop-rock full of fuzzed out guitars and groovy organs.
