Hailing from a small town in Maryland comes Mikey Mike. After a long run of tricking label A&R’s into thinking he was a “famous female pornstar, tired of porn and now managing producers,” he landed a spot producing on Rihanna’s Unapologetic album. Shortly thereafter he took the money he made from a shitty publishing deal and put it towards the passion he had for his own music. A natural storyteller with a knack for big hooks and raw, shameless verses, his songs are infectiously original. “I like to think my songs are kind of like having sex with a high-end escort. There’s not a lot of bullshit, small talk, or fondling, we just get right to it. But, the shit is still pretty good, ya know?” In 2016, Mikey signed with Warner Bros. records and recorded his debut album Life On Earth. For Mikey, the music and the album is just the beginning. As an avid screenwriter, poet, thinker, and trickster, he plans to have his presence be much more encompassing than the average artist. To live fully and express those moments lived, in all forms, is his goal. The rst single “Doin Me”, produced by the legendary Rick Rubin, is set to be released in February. Mikey says “It’s a song about walking your own path. It’s about freedom. It makes some people laugh and some people cry, and I’m proud of that. I think you will like it.
