Castevet are post punk that hasn't forgotten the punk part. Taking musical cues from Braid, Colossal, and Small Brown Bike while remaining ready, willing, and able to play basements and barbecues.
"We are a punk/indie/something band from Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Since starting in 2008, we have seen both coasts of the US and most places in between. We will play in your kitchen or anywhere really."\
Erik lived in New Jersey, but now he lives in Chicago. Everyone else had been waiting impatiently.
On tour from a thick cloud of smoke in Nowheresville, Iowa, Strong City interprets their version of Midwestern pop-punk all while dealing with taking trips to the liquor store and recognizing everyone they grew up with. You can hear them screaming, "Thank fucking God we’re on tour!" from miles away.
With crowds chanting and microphones flying, these guys take the stage over and make sure you know rock isn’t dead. Far beyond the cry-baby synth-pop that’s taken over what used to be called “punk”, you’ll quickly find yourself lost in the moment. Whiskey soaked nights fueled by a crowd as energized and as true as the music, it’s easy to see why these guys are quickly becoming a staple in the Chicago music scene.
