Additional Information

Join us for the second day of The Do Division Street Fest - stretching on Division St. from Ashland to Leavitt and celebrating the culture, art and businesses that make Chicago so unique. The Empty Bottle is pleased to present another day of live music chalk full of local and national talent on Division at Damen.  LA’s PEANUT BUTTER WOLF has been making beats, putting out records and working behind the scenes of American indie hip-hop since before you were born, son, and plays Chicago in the midst of a never ending world tour offering an audio/visual experience that is consistently astounding in its execution.  One of the most meticulous psych-rock bands in all of Canada/the world, BESNARD LAKES hang around after headlining at the Empty Bottle last night, and play tracks off their newest beatific effort  YouLived in the City -  a welcome addition to the band’s impressively growing catalog.  On CRAIG FINN of THE HOLD STEADY’s solo LP, Clear Heart Full Eyes, his trademark vocals tackle familiar territory – religion, solitude and change – and in the words of NPR, “FINN is a great storyteller, and Clear Heart Full Eyes provides another great opportunity to let his voice shine.”  Chicago's fucked-up sons hardly need any introduction, but MANNEQUIN MEN's rockist racket makes a triumphant return , playing tunes off 2011's much praised self-titled release on Addenda Records.  IN TALL BUILDINGS have been called "the aural representation of a pleasantly scattered mind," and they join today’s party alongside Scottish-born, Chicago-based singer-songwriter CHRIS CONNELLY– known equally for his lush, melodic solo work as well as for his Life as a REVOLTING COCK.  WHAM CITY COMEDY funny dude PETER O’CONNELL MC’s today’s auditory celebration.  SPF-up!
