Billy Vera is perhaps best known as the "Leader Beater" of his band Billy Vera & the Beaters, originally founded in 1979 and still performing today. Billy's talent doesn't stop with being an exceptional musician and singer however. He's also a well-respected music producer, songwriter, music historian, voice-over talent, and actor. Browse this website for more details on Billy and his lengthy career, including what he's up to these days.
Here's a few things you might not know: Billy played Pinky Caruthers in the cult classic "Buckaroo Banzai" starring Peter Weller.
He received a Hollywood Star. It's located near the front of the Capitol Records building on Vine if you care to visit.
BV currently voices intros on the George Lopez TNT show, "Lopez Tonight." Billy can be found often at the original Farmer's Market on Fairfax chowing down on a tuna fish sandwich on white toast.
