18 years and over
“Judy at Carnegie Hall” is perhaps the most acclaimed live concert recording ever made and considered by many as one of the greatest nights in show business. The album, from Garland’s concert on April 23, 1961, was one of the earliest live concert recordings ever made, stayed on the Billboard chart for 94 weeks, 13 weeks at Number One, and was the winner of five Grammy Awards, including Best Female Vocal Performance and Album of the Year.
Chicago’s top cabaret vocalists will recreate that legendary evening song by song, anecdote by anecdote and costume by costume, celebrating the 51st anniversary since the performance. The ensemble includes Chicago adored cabaret singers Heather Currie, Elaine Dame, Elizabeth Doyle, Laura Freeman, Ester Hana, KT McCammond, Julia Merchant, Davenport’s front man Daryl Nitz, Stephen Rader, Tecora Rogers and special guest Honey West. Musical direction by George Howe with Nick Christensen on percussion, Jim Cox on bass and Mike Torte on horns.
