Can you believe that at one point several years ago, Dr. Dog was just a drop in the vast musical pond that is the universe of indie rock? Dr. Dog has now become a brand name for quality tunes. Not a big company like, let’s say, Ford. More like one of their occasional sponsors, the eyeglass manufacturers known as Warby Parker. Thankfully, the good Doctor hasn't diluted its musical prescription in search of fame and fortune. Their most recent release, Be The Void, showed more of Dr Dog’s warbling tunes set to Abbey Road-influenced soul. So yeah, there’s an early 70s free and easy kind of groove, as is usually the case. The band’s got a new album out, called B-Room, and we’re sure the friendly and catchy stomp of Dr. Dog will be found in wondrous qualities. Fly Golden Eagle are a Nashville group that might just be Dr. Dog’s musical brother from another mother; consequently, they’re on this tour together.
