Additional Information

Young Canadian MAC DEMARCO had the internet all jazzed in late 2012/early 213 about his sophomore release 2, out via Captured Tracks last October, and as stoked as we've been to host him twice already, we're cheesin' hard to see him hit our stage once again for a Panache Pitchfork Aftershow. With his debut Rock and Roll Night Club 12" out in the spring of 2012, DEMARCO put on a glammy, cheeky facade to accompany his warm, infectious, guitar-hook laden tracks, filtering a lo-fi pop aesthetic through an eerie wash of glam.  Of the tracks that have leaked from the upcoming LP, the FADER praises his "range of sometimes bubbly, but mostly drifting pop songs about love and life," and Stereogum has stated that he plays like "the sort of thing a 15-year-old LOU REED might've made if he'd had access to GarageBand and Tumblr." Returning to the Bottle for their first show since opening for TY SEGALL's double-sold-out shows back in February are Memphis punks EX-CULT, who released one of the best, most underappreciated punk records of 2012 on the esteemed Goner Records. And who was at the helm producing? TY SEGALL, of course. Formerly known as SEX CULT, these up-and-comers play ripping punk rock like none other, incorporating angular post-punk, flying saucer fuzz guitar, snotty vocals and bash-your-head-in energy that NEEDS to be seen live to be believed. Exploding out of Denton, TX's insanely awesome punk scene but now calling Austin home, the OBN IIIs have released two frighteningly good LPs on Tic Tac Totally that meld gritty punk energy with a rock'n'roll swagger that'll get you shaking your butts and struttin' your stuff. These dudeliest men make their Empty Bottle debut tonight, but they're no strangers to Chicago - lead singer ORVILLE NEELY also fronts BAD SPORTS - and we know the OBN IIIs are coming to rock you into oblivion with their balls-out, snot-rock crunchers.
