With a high-energy mix of funk, rock, electronica and jazz, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong has an undeniably unique and versatile live sound that ascends peaks of musical ecstasy, consistently creating a great time for all. Through a continually evolving selection of original and cover songs merged together by seamless improvisational jams, they’ve built a strong loyal following, aptly called ‘The Flock,’ who they refuse to disappoint. With no end in sight, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong is here to bring the party with their danceable electro-funk grooves and infectious ability to bring positive energy to any environment. 2012 has been an exciting year for Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, with two very successful weekly residencies at The 8×10 in Baltimore, along with many high profile festival spots including Catskill Chill, The Werk Out, Camp Barefoot and Grateful Fest. They have also shared the stage with many artists including Papadosio, The Werks, Ludacris (seriously), The Bridge, The Heavy Pets, That 1 Guy, The Pimps of Joytime, Zoogma, Jimkata and The Motet. Their jam-band pals Yosemite and Turbine join them tonight in the opening slots.
