Additional Information

Natalie Angiuli is a 21-year-old independent singer/songwriter from New York City. She currently attends college in Los Angeles at the University of Southern California, where she studies theatre and songwriting. On Valentine’s Day 2012, she self-released her sophomore EP New Hands on iTunes, Spotify, and all other major online retailers.

She recorded New Hands with her band and producer Michael Eisenstein (formerly of 1990s band Letters to Cleo) in small studios, bedrooms, and backyards across Los Angeles. The EP consists of four heartfelt indie-infused songs with infectious hooks and pop/rock arrangements.

Natalie performs regularly in the LA and NYC areas, frequenting venues such as Rockwood Music Hall, The Hotel Café, The House of Blues, The Living Room, The Bitter End and the Knitting Factory. In May 2011, she independently organized and promoted her first tour, which consisted of west coast shows from Los Angeles to San Francisco. In April 2010, she performed at USC's Springfest, an annual festival headlined in 2010 by infamously auto-tuned rapper T-Pain. Natalie has shared stages with other upcoming indie artists such as Katie Costello, Rozzi Crane, and Kathryn Gallagher.

Her music has received airplay on several other radio stations around the country including KVRX in Austin, KXSC in Los Angeles, KPRI in San Diego. With catchy songs and sincere lyrics that relate to her experiences as a 21-year-old girl, it comes as no surprise that she has been mentioned by female-fronted web presences such as HelloGiggles.com and HerCampus.com.

In 2010, Natalie launched a successful project on Kickstarter.com with over $4,100 in pledges from fans in support of her debut album. The debut album, titled sometimes. always. never. (March 2011), was primarily recorded in a small apartment on the upper west side of Manhattan with producer Andrew Futral (Field Mouse/The Age of Rockets). Angiuli wore the cap of a multi-instrumentalist for this recording, playing the piano, ukulele, guitar, glockenspiel, harmonium, Rhodes, and singing on her debut album.

A classically trained musician and a graduate of LaGuardia H.S. of Performing Arts (The "Fame" School) in NYC, Natalie's musical influences range from the Beach Boys to the Beatles to Radiohead to Regina Spektor to Rilo Kiley to Chopin to Joni Mitchell to Fiona Apple. She has studied songwriting at USC under the instruction of Grammy Award winner Melissa Manchester and Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown.
