Since 2009, Denver, Colorado based Churchill has been making folk-infused rock music with a delicate bluegrass flair that has gained them a dedicated and ever-growing fan base. In the short time they’ve been together, Churchill has been named a band to watch by Metromix and Examiner.com and released multiple well received EPs. The high energy performances of the five piece band are not to be missed and this up and coming group is bringing their talents to Lola!





Javier Mendoza:

Dedication, perseverance, pure talent, honesty, humility, and spiritual power are some of the things that can describe Javier Mendoza and his music. Throughout his twelve-year music career, Javier Mendoza has been working hard and gaining fans one show at a time. Born in Virginia, raised in Spain and Germany, and now living in St. Louis, Missouri, Javier continues to create and perform amazing music. His creativity and perseverance are easy to see in his evolution from a song writer for Warner Chappell in 1996 to a full time singer, songwriter, and performer today.

Mendoza has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career including being nominated for best solo artist in 2011 by The Riverfront Times and winning KDHX’s award for Best Latin Artist in 2009. He has worked and shared the stage with some of the industry’s finest musicians including Willie Nelson, Blues Traveler, Everclear, and The Roots to name a few. With 11 albums spanning 11 years, Javier demonstrates the he knows where he comes from and knows where he’s going. On each CD, he combines new influences, new musical aspirations and life experiences with the common thread of hope for the future. Further, the physical and emotional energy of his live performances are truly amazing and are something that must be experienced to be believed.
