Meeting Zauntee is like running the 'Rocky Steps' in Philadelphia. His frenetic,
stream-of-consciousness energy pulls you in. Making high art for the Most High is what
drives him. Born Zachariah Erickson, he grew up in Tampa writing and producing music
from age ten. In high school, he decided every song he made would point people to
God - and he hasn't slowed down since.
"I've always had a heart to find the outsider, the left-out kid, and that person who
believes they can make it when no one else does," he says. "That was me, so I want my
music to be a place for them to belong. At my shows, it's a family, a movement."
Now he's stepping into a new range of sound. His new album, God Remembers, lands
September 18, 2026 and plants his flag in rap, rock, and alternative - anthemic vocals,
driving guitars, honest lyrics. The first three singles - "LIGHT ON ME," "WILDFIRE," and
"PRICE TO STAY ALIVE" - lead the way, with "Worth the Fight" dropping August 7 and
"Soar Again" featuring Jay Furr on August 28. Then a fall headline club tour takes it
coast to coast - Chicago, New York, Nashville, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Denver,
and more.
Zauntee has played everything from the back of a trailer for five people to a stage in
Zambia for 26,000 - and just about every room in between: headline runs and the
summer festival circuit, from Lifest to Kingdom Bound to Creation Fest. He learned
arena touring from the inside across two Casting Crowns tours - working crew, MC'ing
the headliner's VIP Q&A, and playing a short B-stage set every night. On Winter Jam,
he opened with the house lights still on - and once they went down, he was back out
performing with tour founders NewSong. His meet-and-greet lines and merch numbers
matched the main support acts.
He's a three-time Dove Award nominee. Fox Sports named him Artist of the Month.
When "Hard Work God First" caught fire, it became a Top 20 trending sound in the world
on Instagram and racked up millions of views on TikTok.
The story is bigger than the numbers.
Eight years in the making. He heard from God, built the sound, and lived every word of
it.
God Remembers is the album he was born to make.
