    Zak Bullet

    Fusion

Zak Bullet is an up and coming 20-year-old artist who takes electronic music to the next level with his background in jazz and classical theory and guitar.  Born into a family of musicians, Zak hopes to make music that is both for dancing and thinking.  He started playing guitar by 10 and making electronic music at 13. Zak prides himself on his ability to learn music fast and has been hired as a sideman on short notice.  At 15, he had been hired by a professional rock band for which he transcribed solos by great guitarists such as Frank Zappa and Larry Carlton, and he continued to play guitar in his high school jazz band.  At 16, he auditioned into the prestigious Stanford Jazz Institute.  Later, he taught himself about sound design and audio and at 18, took a class on MIDI controllers at Stanford's CCRMA (Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics). His debut album, "Introducing Zak Bullet," was programmed, written, recorded, mixed, and mastered entirely by Bullet and can be heard under "Music." Currently, Zak is studying mathematics at university. His unique performances combine guitar playing with elements of DJing. Zak also plays guitar in many ensembles and frequently performs as a guest of the improv band Equator.
