Yuppy is an experimental rock band based in St. Louis, Missouri. Tom, Anthony, Michael, and Jim write their songs in a collaborative process, generating a patchwork of riffs and noise. Their 2019 debut EP Caillou achieves a fullness of surprises, bending and building to new places, in the span of only three songs. Tom and Anthony converse through dueling vocal melodies and contrasting guitars in their style of dynamics and big breakdowns. Their in-sync cadences mesh through insane musical talent and close friendships. The quartet are the opposite of yuppies: dorito-dust encrusted friends, down to poke fun at everything, especially themselves. Yuppy takes traditions from DIY midwestern basements and shreds them into another planet.
