"How refreshing and inspiring it is to encounter a young artist whose achieve-ments match his ambitions." —The Washington Post

"100 Best Living Songwriters" —Paste Magazine

"...the most exuberant outburst of imagery since Bob Dylan's 'A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall,' in1963."—Stephen King in Entertainment Weekly on Ritter’s album The Animal Years

Josh Ritter is a songwriter from the wilds of northern Idaho.  Sermon on the Rocks, his new record, was recorded in New Orleans, and it’s his most free-wheeling and adventurous record to date, earning strong praise from the NewYork Times, Rolling Stone, NPR Music, and others.  Joan Baez has covered his songs; David Letterman has invited him back (twice!); and Ritter regularly sells out legendary venues such as the Beacon Theatre and the Fillmore. These fall tour dates feature Zack Hickman onbass, Mark Erelli on guitar, and Ray Rizzo on drums.
