WOMEN PUNK THE PLANET brings together two explosive female-led bands — Chicago’s Fugu Dugu and NYC’s La Banda Chuska — for a high-energy global dance party where punk spirit meets international sound. Fugu Dugu, led by Chicago frontwoman Madame Broshkina, blends Balkan brass, klezmer, gypsy folk, and punk into loud, theatrical performances built for movement and crowd interaction. La Banda Chuska, fronted by Erica Mancini (Chicago-born accordionist and longtime member of Gogol Bordello) and vocalist/organist Adele Fournet, fuses psychedelic Peruvian cumbia with surf guitar, post-punk rhythms, and art-rock flair. Together the bands create a wild, cross-cultural live experience where standing rooms become packed dance floors and audiences from punk, indie, and global music scenes come together to move.
