Willis and Happy Landing with Winyah
-
WILLIS didn’t blow up overnight — they built something lasting. Formed in Florence, Alabama and now based in Nashville, the band began in 2016 as five childhood friends making music in a bedroom. Nearly a decade later, they’ve grown into one of the most loyal followings in modern indie rock — with over 350 million streams, an RIAA Platinum-certified record, and a fully sold-out national headline tour in 2024.
Their breakout track “I Think I Like When It Rains” became a viral anthem, reaching #1 on TikTok’s U.S. chart in 2023 and remaining in the Viral 50 from 2022–2025. WILLIS made their name where it matters most — the stage. Night after night, fans show up in Locals Only tees, singing every word like they’ve been there since day one. What started as a quiet DIY movement has become a full-on live experience.
Across their beloved Locals EP series (Locals, Locals 2, Locals 3, Locals 4) and 2024’s debut album I Can’t Thank You Enough, WILLIS has developed a sound that’s warm, rhythmic, and emotionally direct — nostalgic but never stuck in the past. It’s indie rock that leaves a mark. The band continues to evolve while keeping the same heartbeat that’s been there since the beginning: real connection, real fans, and music built to outlast trends. -
HAPPY LANDING is an American folk rock band formed in Oxford, Mississippi in 2020 by Matty Hendley (lead vocals, guitar), Keegan Christensen (vocals, keys), Jacob Christensen (drums), Andrew Gardner (fiddle, vocals), and WIlson Moyer (bass/guitar, vocals). The group pioneers a new wave of folk music, captivating audiences around the country with their energetic live shows and fresh sound, blended from the roots of southern rock, punk and folk. Following support dates with The Head & The Heart, Judah & The Lion & Wilderado, the band’s first nationwide tour took place in Fall 2024 following their debut album release, “Golden.” 2024-2025 festival appearances include Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Lovin’ Life, Summerfest, and Soundside.

Hailing from a small South Carolina beach town, Winyah emerged onto the music scene in early 2023 and has swiftly made their mark. They’ve shared stages with acclaimed artists such as The Red Clay Strays, The Vegabonds and The Stews, while also shredding festivals like Bonnaroo. Winyah’s live performances are a testament to their distinctive blend of indie and southern rock, featuring electrifying guitar solos and soulful vocals reminiscent of icons like Led Zeppelin, The
Backseat Lovers, and flipturn.
The band draws its name from Winyah Bay, a cherished landmark in their hometown where all five members spent their formative years. Their music is a reflection of the five rivers that converge into Winyah Bay, capturing the eternal summer vibes of their coastal upbringing. On the surface, Winyah delivers youthful energy and raw power, but their music also delves into themes of nostalgia and the bittersweet longing for childhood memories and cherished places.
