A magnetic performer, Will Johns new album On Top Of The World features drummer Steve Ferrone (Eric Clapton, Tom Petty) on all tracks and a vocal performance by Tomiko Dixon, granddaughter of Blues legend Willie Dixon among his notable guests. He has previously released five albums. His 2021 release BLUESDADDY went to #1 on the Roots Music Report.
Will's family has a legacy as a renowned music family. Will's aunt Pattie Boyd was famously married to both George Harrison and Eric Clapton (Uncles!), inspiring some of their best-known hits including "Layla". He has remained close to Eric since childhood. Will is the son of producer Andy Johns (Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin) and model/actress Paula Boyd.
With his own Blues Daddy show he has played European festivals, sold out club dates and in 2023 began performing in Florida and in 2026, he has expanded to AZ and CA. He is also a member of The Cream Of Clapton Band featuring past and present Clapton band members.
In 2025, Will Johns reached a career milestone when he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame Chicago at Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago with Buddy in attendance. After seeing Will play, Buddy announced to the audience "Now that's what I call the blues." Will has been added to the September 2026 lineup for Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival in Texas being joined onstage by Joe Bonamassa and Clapton band members Nathan East and Sonny Emory.
