Guitarist and composer Brian Citro ( ears&eyes Records , The Drastics) reunites with drummer and composer Quin Kirchner (founder, Spacetone Recordings) in a quartet featuring alto saxophonist Nick Mazzarella (Natural Information Society, Nick Mazzarella Trio) and bassist Matt Ulery (Woolgathering Records, Quin Kirchner Group). Earlier, Brian and Quinn made music as part of Salamander with electronic musician, saxophonist, and bandoneonist Charles Gorczynski. Coming off the release of his recent album Acoustic Pastime: Solo Guitar, Brian’s written new music for the quartet with rich, accessible melodies, unique song structures, and a wide range of rhythms and feels. The group also performs music by Ornette Coleman, Wayne Shorter, and McCoy Tyner.
