Fuel Reforms with Frontman Brett Scallions for New Album
Puppet Strings (March 4 / MRI)
“Rock and roll is very much alive and well on this album,” says Brett Scallions, the frontman of Fuel.  The band’s new album Puppet Strings (March 4 / MRI) marks its first with Scallions in 10 years.
The sound is pure, anthemic rock inspired by the punk records of the band’s youth (the heavy, driving “Yeah” and first single, “Soul to Preach To”) and the Memphis blues sound that taps into Brett’s Tennessee roots (“Hey Mama”). “We were simply trying to write the best songs we possibly could, ” adds Brett, who wrote the album with guitarist Andy Andersson and bassist Brad Stewart, formerly of Shinedown.  “With Andy and Brad, I found the unity I’d always craved.”
During his time away from Fuel, Brett continued to write music and toured with Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger of the Doors.  “When I left Fuel I was miserable. It didn't feel much like a band anymore. Unity was nonexistent.  Singing with Ray and Robby opened a whole new perspective on music and life for me. I realized how much music is truly all about freedom and not being confined to formats or singles.”
Brett, Andy, Brad and drummer Shannon Boone will be on the road throughout 2014 in support of Puppet Strings.
Fuel formed in 1993 while playing the club circuit in and around Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The band signed to Sony and in 1998, released their well-received debut album Sunburn and massive single “Shimmer”.  Their second album Something Like Human hit multi-platinum status with the singles “Innocent” and “Hemorrhage (In My Hands)”, followed by 2003’s Natural Selection (“Falls on Me”).   The band has been selling out dates since 2010 with the current lineup and return of Scallions.

    SLUNT

    Rock & Roll

SLUNT is a hard rock band's hard rock band. Plain and simple. Jagged around the edges and bursting with huge riffs from abrasive guitars held in place by a one-two punch of a rhythm section that recalls AC/DC in their 'Back In Black' prime, they definitely don’t disappoint on stage. Add to that a layer of girlie vocals full of rock star attitude, come-ons, put-downs, and plain ol' dirty talk that comes off sweet, tough, and sexy all at the same time. Songs about drinking? Check. Songs about screwing? Check. Songs about getting drunk and screwing your boyfriend's father? Uh…check.

Comprising of lead singer / rhythm guitarist (& former Mtv/Mtv2/Fuse VJ) Abby Gennet, lead guitarist Pat Harrington & drummer Charles Ruggiero, the band released a self-titled EP in 2004 & two full-length albums ("Get a Load of This" in 2005 and "One Night Stand" in 2006) on LA-based indie label Repossession Records. No stranger to the road, they’ve toured extensively around the U.S. & abroad as direct support for bands such as Marilyn Manson, Motorhead, Paul Stanley, Drowning Pool, Zeke, COC and more. Look out for new tour dates in 2012. Who knows… you just might get your manboobs signed!

Self-taught to a freakishly prolific level on guitar, bass, drums and piano.

A rock resume that’s every bit as impressive as his six-foot-six-inch frame.

Yes, with all that Dahniel Knight is, and everything he has accomplished, one would expect the music industry might be
operating within the friendly (and undeniably funky) confines of his shadow by now. Instead, he’s putting his signature humility aside for the first time ever, and allowing the light to strike him square on – as a solo artist. And judging by the brilliance of his debut effort, “The Sunny Side of Razor Road,” his anonymity is about to get its ass kicked to the curb.

Born in Chicago, Knight’s musical journey is more fantastical than most. His first guitar cable was given to him by none other than Freddy Fender. As a child prodigy, he opened for such legendary acts as Earth, Wind and Fire and the Bar-kays – usually well after bedtime in his parents’ nightclub. He toured the US and China by the time he had reached his twenties. As a member of countless groups (including B!, Natural Selection and The Spectaculars), he has opened for or performed with: Oasis; The Black Crowes; Saliva; King’s X; Sevendust; New Power Generation; Jet and Fishbone. America even caught a glimpse of Knight as a finalist on the reality show, Rockstar/INXS.

What Knight has created with his newfound self-focus is a rich, righteous blend of insight and art, of pain and poetry.
