We all have a friend that just needs a little music.
With chunky grooves, soaring melodies, and blissful improvisation, Up and Orange has something for every dancing thinker. The New York-based quartet takes listeners on a journey through memorable compositions and deep jamming, drawing on a variety of influences, including rock, funk, jazz, and electronica.
Seven Teller is the art-rock brainchild of Baltimore musician and songwriter Sam Cochran, who started the project in 2020. A blend of post-punk, dance, and psych-rock music nourishes the band’s unique, immersive sound. During live performances, the group improvises between songs by adding psychedelic textures on top of fun, upbeat rhythms. Their devoted fanbase, called “Teller Family,” travels hours to concerts, so the band tries to make each night feel more spontaneous and special than the last. There are moments too when the whole room becomes connected to the music and it feels like there is no band or audience. Moments like these are what the band strives for. Seven Teller’s new single Chances is out on June 6th.
