Description
Tyron Benoit is a Louisiana-born singer, songwriter, and guitarist whose music blends rock, country, blues, zydeco, and the rich musical traditions of his home state. Raised in Houma, Louisiana, his sound was shaped by influences ranging from George Jones, Merle Haggard, and Ray Charles to Led Zeppelin and Steely Dan. A U.S. Marine veteran who served during Operation Desert Storm, Tyron later immersed himself in New Orleans' vibrant music scene, performing with a variety of artists—including Big Chief Monk Boudreaux—before launching the Tyron Benoit Band. He released Waiting on Friday in 2022, followed by Mid City in 2025, further establishing himself as a gifted songwriter and performer. Tyron has performed at renowned festivals including the French Quarter Festival, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Telluride Blues & Brews, Beaver Creek Blues, Brews & BBQ, the W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival, and the Lucerne Blues Festival in Switzerland. He has toured with his brother, Tab Benoit, and Samantha Fish, and has shared stages with artists including Ian Moore and The Iguanas. With a growing national and international following, Tyron continues to earn acclaim for his dynamic live performances and authentic Louisiana sound.
