Death Cab for Cutie is an American alternative rock band formed in Bellingham, Washington in 1997. The band is composed of Ben Gibbard, Nick Harmer, Jason McGerr, Dave Depper, and Zac Rae. Death Cab for Cutie rose from being a side project to becoming one of the most exciting groups on the indie rock scene of the 2000's, with their emotive songwriting and cross-genre sound landing somewhere between indie and emo. They have been nominated for eight Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Album for their most recent release, 2015’s Kintsugi. Their ninth studio album will be released later this year.

Rough Trade-signed Parquet Courts' fifth album Wide Awake! - produced by Danger Mouse - is a ground-breaking work, an album about independence and individuality but also about collectivity and communitarianism. The songs, written by Andrew Savage and Austin Brown but elevated to even greater heights by the dynamic rhythmic propulsion of Max Savage (drums) and Sean Yeaton (bass), are filled with their traditional punk rock passion, as well as a lyrical tenderness. The record reflects a burgeoning confidence in the band's exploration of new ideas in a hi-fi context. In celebration of Wide Awake! the band return to the UK in November 2018 for their biggest ever headline shows yet.

Out in the Storm, Katie Crutchfield's fourth album as Waxahatchee and her second release with Merge, is the blazing result of a woman reawakened. Her most autobiographical and honest album to date, Out in the Storm is a self-reflective anchor in the story of both her songwriting and her life. As Crutchfield prepared for the release of her Merge debut Ivy Tripp, she found herself depleted emotionally and professionally amidst the dissolution of a noxious relationship. "Ivy Tripp doesn't really have any resolution. It's a lot of beating around the bush, and superficially trying to see my life clearly, but just barely scratching the surface. Out in the Storm digs into what I was going through without blinking. It's a very honest record about a time in which I was not honest with myself." After much self-examination, Crutchfield found renewed energy and support from her bandmates. With these strong women surrounding her, she found the strength, clarity, and poise to overcome the emotionally taxing Ivy Tripp tour in an explorative space that would result in Out in the Storm.

Lucy Dacus was born, raised, and currently lives in Richmond, Virginia. Her first record, No Burden, was the result of a school assignment with her guitarist and longtime friend Jacob Blizard. After an original release by Virginia label Egghunt Records, the album was reissued on Matador Records following an onslaught of unexpected attention and critical acclaim. Her highly anticipated second album, Historian, came out in March 2018 and focuses on themes such as loss, death, hope, resilience, and gratefulness. Dacus is on the road with a four-piece band to support Historian in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Europe throughout the upcoming year.
