Tonya Boyd-Cannon is  a Mississippi-born, New Orleans-raised powerhouse vocalist, classically trained musician, and acclaimed educator whose soulful performances blend jazz, gospel, blues, funk, and rock with heartfelt storytelling. A Top 20 finalist on Season 8 of The Voice, she has earned critical acclaim with her album “MUZIC Is Life”. As a celebrated recording artist and dynamic live performer, Boyd-Cannon has graced stages around the world including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Colombia's Mompox Jazz Festival. Beyond the stage, Tonya serves as Executive Director of the Rise My Child Foundation, directs the New Orleans Citywide Youth Choir, and leads vocal workshops around the world, using music to inspire, uplift, and transform.
