We predict TOTAL DESTRUCTION today. Sure, there’s going to be no Air Show at Burke this year, but why mess with warplanes when you have the sheer city-leveling power of this mighty Beachland bill? While the rest of the US was reveling in the promise of the then-new alternative rock revolution, Today Is The Day main man Steve Austin was taking his mixture of metal, hardcore, noise, and psychedelia to joints like Cleveland’s historic Euclid Tavern. For those of you who weren't there, Today Is The Day has toured with the Melvins, Converge, Morbid Angel, Unsane, and many other metal masters possessed of an uncommonly vicious vision. Screamo kids were raging in playpen pits when Today Is The Day got started, so get with it, folks! Cleveland quartet Keelhaul is on the Today Is The Day tour, and if you ask us, these dudes should have been as big as Mastodon. Or they should have been used to sell the kind of cars that were specifically made to crash. Imagine riding giant sandworms across the planet Arrakis. That’s Keelhaul! This tour also features KEN Mode (Canada) and Fight Amp.

    Today Is The Day

    Heavy Metal

Led by visionary frontman Steve Austin, Today Is The Day reigns as one of the most unique and influential bands of the past two decades. The band's violent and anthemic style, which blends metal, noise, psychedelia, and rock, has won worldwide acclaim ever since the debut album, Supernova, first hit in the early 90s. Eight studio albums have been released on such labels as Amphetamine Reptile and Relapse -- including modern-day classics like Willpower, Temple of the Morning Star, and In the Eyes of God -- and the band's changing lineup has included such musicians as Brann Dailor and Bill Kelliher, who would later go on to form Mastodon.. Today Is The Day has toured the world with Motorhead, Helmet, The Melvins, Morbid Angel, Converge, Napalm Death, Neurosis, Eyehategod, Unsane, Coalesce, and many more. Steve Austin has also made a name as a producer, helping create seminal albums for Lamb Of God, Converge, Deadguy, and more.
