It’s said that every grey cloud has a silver lining, and a global pandemic is no exception.  Out of frustration and the need for a creative outlet during the COVID-19 quarantine, The Urban Roots Band was born! Since then they have become a solid musical favorite and a place of escape and healing through the sounds of true roots reggae music from the heart of Chicago! Comprised of the city’s top talent and music community veterans, The Urban Roots Band performs the music of Roots, Reggae, Ska and Rock Steady pioneers: The Wailers, Peter Tosh, Bob Marley,  Jimmy Cliff, Toots and the Maytals, The Abyssinians, Althea and Donna, The Heptones, The Mighty Diamonds and many more!
