Join us for a celebration of the 42nd Anniversary of The Last Waltz, the legendary farewell concert by the iconic roots rock group The Band. The concert and Martin Scorsese-directed documentary featured more than a dozen guest artists, including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, and Dr. John, and showcased many of The Band’s classic hit songs, such as "The Weight," "Up On Cripple Creek," "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down," "Ophelia," and "It Makes No Difference." For their fourth annual Last Waltz celebration at Daryl’s, The THE BAND Band will again be joined by the TTBB Horns and special guests.
Gary Solomon, co-founder of The THE BAND Band, was a 19 year old kid from New York when he found himself at The Last Waltz at San Francisco’s Winterland Arena on Thanksgiving Day 1976. "I was in the right place at the right time," Solomon says. He knew then that The Last Waltz would prove to be a concert for the ages. Immediately after the show, he wrote in a letter to his friends back home, "I have just come from the most incredible musical happening I have ever experienced, or probably ever will." Now 60, Solomon has been leading the critically acclaimed tribute band he started in 2007. "I was so blown away by the experience of being at The Last Waltz, I wanted to tell the whole world about it. I guess I still do."
Come on out and catch the show!
