He’s penned songs such as "Resurrection Power" by Chris Tomlin, which earned him a GMA Dove Award nomination and ASCAP's "Most Performed Song" award in 2018. Housefires’ “I Thank God” featuring Ryan, was a multi-chart #1 for 10 consecutive weeks. Accolade, however, is not the fuel of Ellis’ fire. “I’m a devoted husband and father first,” he says. “I have a deep love for Jesus and the way songs draw people in to experience Him, to be inspired and encouraged and ultimately to let them know that they are loved”.
