Not even the devil himself can resist the dark and demonic atmosphere that seems to follow The Symposium. Often described as ‘disturbing’ and ‘one of the worst performances of all time’, the band is excited to try again.

Originally hailing from Birmingham and now based in London, John Myrtle began carving his brand of slightly off-kilter, heartwarming pop in 2019 with demos he uploaded to SoundCloud. Having caught the ears of Marc Riley on BBC 6 Music, John was invited on the show to play a live session, and soon his self-recorded EP ‘Here’s John Myrtle’ was released to critical acclaim from the likes of The Line of Best Fit, Brooklyn Vegan, DIY Magazine and So Young Magazine.  John followed this up with mini-album Myrtle Soup in 2021, which was met with equal critical praise and garnered fans from the likes of Summer Salt, The Walters and producer Jonathan Rado - whom John’s 2024 single ‘How Do You Break a Heart?’ was produced by. Recently, John has embarked on several tours across Europe supporting Kate Bollinger, Cut Worms and Katy J Pearson and his next album is due this Summer.
