From the hosts of The Brooklyn Improv's first-ever weekly open mic, enjoy this night of stand up comedy with a killer lineup of New York's funniest emerging comics. Featuring: Brendan Callahan, Grace Delsohn, Jennifer Vadiveloo, Conor Janda, Mika Stein, Ayana Francois, and more!

Conor Janda is a Brooklyn-based comedian and was recently named one of the 2025 New Faces of Comedy at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. He has been featured on Comedy Central and in Vulture, and he’s opened for Kevin Nealon, Atsuko Okatsuka, and Mary Beth Barone.  Contrary to one angry Instagram comment from a man with a squirrel as his profile photo, Janda doesn’t only talk about being gay. He also talks about growing up Catholic (which made him gay), being an alcoholic (which is because he’s gay), and having a stay at home dad (which is a pretty gay thing to do).  One time, a woman on a podcast said Janda “tells stories like he’s running out of time,” which is a nice way of saying he has anxiety and a lot to cover. 

Hi I'm Ayana,  I'm an NYC based actor director, and comedian and a  graduate of the Penn State Musical Theater Program .  As an artist I'm passionate about the representation and inclusion of marginalized people in my work and am guided by the principle of radical imagination.  This follows me in my work as not only a performer but as a comedian and director too. ​These days my free time is spent playing piano, tap dancing and watching every black and queer foreign film I can get my hands on :)

Brendan began to pursue his longtime goal of writing and performing stand up comedy, training at The Second City’s new Williamsburg location. Later that year, Brendan performed a set in his first paid stand up comedy show at the very same venue, alongside a lineup of hilarious New York comedy vets. Brendan continues to appear at open mics and comedy shows throughout Brooklyn.

Grace (Gracie) Delsohn is a New York-based actor, improviser, and comedian. She is from the suburbs of Los Angeles, California and grew up doing musical theatre in North Hollywood. She spent two years at Hofstra University before transferring to Marymount Manhattan College, where she received her BFA in Acting. Once she got to the city, she started taking improv, sketch, and character classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade, and found her love for comedy. She has since finished the core curriculum for Improv at UCB. She is currently on an indie improv team and is a writer and a performer on a sketch team.
