Synth Pop
The Seshen is a San Francisco Bay Area-based six-piece band led by singer/lyricist Lalin St. Juste and bassist/producer Akiyoshi Ehara. Their forward-thinking sound combines synthesizers, drum machines, and live percussion to create an unmistakable fusion of R&B, synth-pop, and electronic music. St. Juste and Ehara are joined by four remarkable bandmates to create their multidimensional music: drummer Chris Thalmann, keyboard/synth player Mahesh Rao, percussionist Mirza Kopelman, and sampler Kumar Butler. They take inspiration from across the musical spectrum; their individual influences range from recognizable artists (Erykah Badu, Jai Paul, James Blake, Radiohead, and Broadcast) to genres and eras that don’t initially appear to fit together (hip hop, indie rock, early electronica, and 70’s dub). Their unique alchemy of seemingly disparate sounds has led fans and critics alike to describe the band as defying categorization.

Electronic
Rituals of Mine is the project of Sacramento-based artist Terra Lopez, known for her innovative blending of electronic, R&B, and trip-hop influences into a sound that feels both intimate and powerful. Originally known as Sister Crayon, the project has evolved into a space for Lopez to explore grief, healing, and personal transformation.
Critically acclaimed by outlets like BBC, Pitchfork, Billboard, and Rolling Stone, Rituals of Mine has earned recognition for its emotional depth, haunting lyrics, and genre-bending production - including Paste Magazine naming Hype Nostalgia one of the Best Albums of 2020. The project’s catalog also includes Devoted, co-produced by Omar Rodriguez-Lopez (The Mars Volta, At the Drive-In) released on Warner Bros. Records.
Now entering a new era, Rituals of Mine is preparing new releases in 2026 and a reimagined live show in collaboration with jazz/hip-hop trio LabRats. This new live set is yet another example of how Lopez continues to push the boundaries within the electronic genre, carving out a space all her own.
