    The music of Sergio Mendes gave us an iconic selection of songs delivered with a pristine vocal sound.

    But the final essential element is the infectious Brazilian rhythms:
    Bossa Nova, Samba, Batucada, and Afro-Samba.

    The Sergio Mendes Band continues the high level of rhythmic talent that always surrounded Sergio — especially since 2014, when Leo Costa (drums) and Andre de Santanna (bass) joined longtime members Kleber Jorge (guitar), Gibi dos Santos (percussion), and Scott Mayo (sax, flute, keys, vocals).

    Since then, this band has delivered extraordinary rhythmic cohesion, creating a sound that consistently brings audiences to their feet.
