Aloud is a four-piece rock n’ roll band from Boston, Massachusetts, co-fronted by husband and wife songwriting team Henry Beguiristain and Jen de la Osa. De la Osa and Beguiristain have written and performed together since they were teenagers growing up in Miami, Florida. Over the years, they have created a catalog of songs wide in range, but always anchored by the 60s soul and rock music they grew up on—with a particular affection for harmonies—and backed up by bassist Charles Murphy and drummer Chuck Ferreira.
Jesse W. Johnson plays hooky-yet-dark rock & roll with the tiniest little twinge of country twang. Johnson is a veteran of the Chicago scene, having reached local acclaim fronting Jet W. Lee, and his experience is immediately apparent upon first listen. As a solo artist, Johnson presents tight, muscular songcraft with beautiful melodies and surprisingly dark lyrics. Most of all, Johnson does something not so common today, tell a story, and it’s thoughtful word choice in his music that helps the listener personalize each song.
