Record release show for Dog Brain's new album "In Dog We Trust!"
Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, The Rewrites are a power trio as hard-working and gritty as the streets that brought them up. Mixing lo-fi garage rock with classic blues rhythms, they've spent the last 2 years hitting the local bar circuit. Having recently self realeased they're debut EP, "The Red Fox EP", The Rewrites are currently hard at work on their next release. If you love some good old fashioned rock, you've got to check out their Southside sound!
Chicago's DOG BRAIN is celebrating the CD release of their sixth album, “In Dog We Trust.” Self-recorded throughout 2017, the 11-track LP is a culmination of the band's rapidly evolving instrumental abilities and diverse musical interests. Since debuting as a one-man recording project in 2013, guitarist/frontman Aaron Ruby has joined up with bassist/vocalist Rafa Rodriguez and drummer Chris Abbs to form a unique power trio that thrives on big riffs, oddball psychedelia and black humor. DOG BRAIN digs the classic heaviness of Black Sabbath and early Metallica, the playful strangeness of Meat Puppets and Blue Öyster Cult, and the restless experimentation of Wire, Hüsker Dü, and Can. With “In Dog We Trust,” DOG BRAIN has its eyes on the past, present and future of rock music, and they hope to see YOU there in the crowd! Woof!
Enjoy the Weather is a progressive rock band hailing from Austin, Texas. Their songs are reminiscent of melancholic-but-still-uplifting tunes from the mid-’90s, backed by steady, thick electric guitars and thunderous drums.
Shinzon is a three-headed Midwestern slugger that never settles. Raucous and riffy one moment, agile and bopping the next. Turtleneck-rock.
