BoilerRoom and Move Forward Music present The Remedy, a new monthly event at Highline Ballroom, helmed by legendary producer and DJ, Just Blaze, with guest performances and DJ sets live streamed on BoilerRoom.tv. On Thursday December 1st, the launch party will feature special guest Young M.A, performing her smash hit, "Ooouu", and a DJ set by Chase B., supported by DJ Wavy and Quiana Parks, and hosted by K$ACE.

The Remedy is a platform created between Move Forward Music and BoilerRoom to nurture a safe space where DJs, artists, and fans can connect with each other, dance, and discover new music and styles; a vehicle to allow the culture of hip-hop to flourish and grow, in the city where it was born. The monthly soiree will feature DJ sets and live performances reflecting the ever-changing sights, sounds and trends driving the culture, both on the internet and the street, all live-streamed around the world via BoilerRoom.TV.

    Storming onto the music scene with over 3.1 million YouTube views on her “Brooklyn Chiraq Freestyle” video, Young M.A, the 23-year old MC from Brooklyn, NY is poised to have a break out year. M.A has recently released her ‘SleepWalkin’ mixtape on DatPiff; her debut project, ‘Herstory,’ will be out in 2016.

    With mesmerizing freestyles on Funkmaster Flex’s Hot 97 show, Jack Thriller’s (ThisIs50) and new music on DJ Statik Selektah’s latest album, ‘Lucky 7,’ M.A has no shortage of early believers. At this early stage of her career M.A was invited to perform at Webster Hall’s Thursday night ‘House Party’ where Funkmaster Flex and Just Blaze brought her out for a guest performance. Already nearing 80K followers on Instagram, 5 Million plus SoundCloud streams, along with several music videos receiving over 500K views, few young artists are making such an impact. M.A is living out loud and proud with no fear of judgement, her music is clearly standing

    Contemporary artist, music aficionado, philanthropist and cancer survivor; these are the elements of which Quiana Parks is comprised. Quiana captivates audiences with her passion and talent for mixing, and scratching disco, pop, house, with an infusion of hip hop and r&b.
     
    Parks' well sought-after DJing skills garnered her some of NYC's most prominent brands as clients including: Tiffany & Co., Volkswagen, Neiman Marcus, Steve Madden, Sandro Paris, Verizon, Dom Perignon, Nike, Nylon Magazine, Essence Magazine, Tao Downtown, and more.
     
    Born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey Quiana's artistic expression draws upon her life experiences, past and present.  Her earliest work was created on the heels of her Cancer remission.  Affectionately titled "Sisters" this piece touches upon the unwavering support Quiana received during one of her life's most vulnerable moments.  Her style has since evolved into what she describes as "high-end doodles using canvas and oils" or "undone".
