Fusing together Hip-Hop, Soul, R&B, and Funk with a touch of Alternative Jazz, proves that The Pariahs, cannot be pigeon held by any labels or genres whatsoever. In a musical world where critics aim to categorize the soundscapes of musicians, The Pariahs are constantly in a cycle of musical rebirth by finding ways to elevate from the foundational groundwork that they have began to lay within the first two years of their existence. Forming in 2015 this quintet hit the ground running by performing at local staples in The Portland independent music scene such as, The Ren Fayre Festival at Reed College, The Holocene, The Know, WeOutHere Magazine's The Thesis at Kelly's Olympian, along with numerous other venues across the circuit before the group decided to take a six month hiatus from the scene to work on a debut project. Exhilarating the crowd with their high energy performances that lead to you to a soulful climax before taking those in attendance on a high energy guitar based zulu tribe inspired journey led by a crowd participated chant on breakout track, "They Don't Want Us" this band has the ability to connect with audiences through introspection, thought provoking yet light hearted lyrics, dance worthy choruses, invigorating bass lines and grooves with keys and guitars that create a spark that transpire radiant hues of vibrations throughout your entire cerebral cortex. As they gear up for their debut EP Introducing: The Pariahs coming Winter 2018 on vinyl, Apple Music, Spotify, and all other major streaming platforms.
