Few bands are capable of aiming for as many stand out cultural moments as The Paper Kites. Even fewer are able to meaningfully connect every single time, but that’s the humble and surprising achievement of a band innovating and energizing with each release. Six albums deep, their music has been streamed over a billion times, with more than eight million monthly listeners on Spotify. Audiences globally have fallen in love with, and to, their blend of folk/rock/Americana, with the band’s artistry both on record and the stage developing a dedicated community of Paper Kites devotees.
With a decade of global touring under their hats, playing at iconic venues such as London’s O2 Forum, The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, and The Enmore, one of the spiritual homes of live music in Sydney, they are also beloved at festivals with performances at Austin City Limits, Calgary Folk Festival as well as Australia’s Bluesfest. The Paper Kites tug on the heartstrings like few other acts whenever they perform live, compelling audiences to feel every single note.
Their live reputation is only matched by the strength of their discography — one cannot thrive without the other. Perennial fan-favourite ‘Bloom’, off the Woodland EP, has been certified platinum in the Netherlands, Canada, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as in the US. The RIAA platinum certification saw them enter rarified air as one of the few Australian artists to receive such an honour, joining the likes of AC/DC, INXS, Midnight Oil, Kylie Minogue, Flume, SIA, and Silverchair. Closer to home, and At The Roadhouse was nominated for an ARIA Award in 2024 for Best Blues & Roots Album, while 2018’s On The Corner Where You Live was nominated for Best Adult Contemporary Album at the 2019 ARIA Awards.
Never long off the road the band have announced a tour of India, Thailand and the Philippines for 2025, with much, much more to come.

Hayden Everett is a Seattle-based artist blending folk storytelling with jazz-trained musicianship and cinematic production. A jazz piano performance major from UCLA, Hayden blends the production style of Justin Vernon with the musicality and storytelling of Bonny Light Horseman. His debut EP, produced in Brooklyn with Jeremy McDonald (Kevin Garrett, Vulfpeck, Beyoncé), was released in 2019 and featured on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, earning praise from Earmilk, Atwood Magazine, and airplay on KCRW. His second EP, released via UK-based Platoon (Apple Music), received acclaim from Wonderland, Ones to Watch, and Line of Best Fit.
His most recent projects—Silver Line and I Miss the Sky—were released through Nettwerk and feature collaborators like Jemima Coulter (Hailaker) and JT Bates (Bonny Light Horseman, Big Red Machine).
With over 35 million streams across projects, Hayden has built a dedicated following. He completed his first U.S. headline tour in fall 2024 and has toured with Trousdale, Luca Fogale, Vacation Manor, and most recently with Hazlett in Spring 2025.
