The Nude Party, a tight-knit seven-piece known for their choogling 60s-inspired rock, return with their fourth album Look Who’s Back, a joyful, sun-soaked record recorded in Joshua Tree’s desert with a DIY, late-night party vibe. Since their beginnings playing basement shows in Boone, North Carolina, the band has grown from skipping class for SXSW and DIY tours to Brooklyn residencies, world tours, and two acclaimed albums (The Nude Party and Midnight Manor), all while maintaining the same original lineup for over a decade, a rarity for seven-piece bands. Following the pandemic, they built a Catskills studio for Rides On (2023) and further explored stripped-down country, electro-pop, and classic rock sounds. Now independent again, they embraced their roots, recording in a friend’s home studio in Joshua Tree, capturing the playful energy, beachside boogie, and 70s grooves that make Look Who’s Back their happiest, most exuberant record yet.
