    BIOGRAPHY

The Native Howl is a genre-defying band hailing from Leonard, Michigan, USA. Their fast tempo music they’ve coined as “Thrash Grass” combines the aggression and intensity of Thrash Metal with the precision and melodicism of bluegrass.

     ABOUT THE BAND

The Native Howl was born from a musical experiment that defied all expectations. Blending elements of folk, bluegrass, rock, and metal, this quartet has crafted a sound entirely their own. With a dash of outlaw spirit and a touch of the wilderness, their music transports listeners to a sonic landscape where traditional meets the contemporary.

     THE BAND MEMBERS

Alex Holycross - Guitar, Bouzouki, Lead Vocals
Jake Sawicki - Guitar, Banjo, Vocals
    Mark Chandler - Bass, Vocals
    Zach Bolling - Drums, Percussion

     THE MUSIC

The Native Howl's sonic signature is a fusion of the unexpected. From foot-stomping bluegrass jams to lightning-fast metal-esque banjo picking, their tracks are a musical thrill ride that keeps the listener guessing with each note. Their lyrics often explore the dark sides of human condition, nature, and the trials of life, creating a deep and personal connection with their audience.

    THE JOURNEY CONTINUES

The Native Howl is on a mission to break musical boundaries and take their unique sound to new heights. With a dedicated fanbase and an unwavering passion for their craft, they're a force to be reckoned with onstage.

    Tejon Street Corner Thieves

    Alternative Folk

Colorado Springs-based outlaw alt-folk group Tejon Street Corner Thieves have come a long way since their humble beginnings busking for change on the street. The group takes their name from a time when they were accused of stealing a corner on Tejon Street in Colorado Springs during a turf war between rival buskers.

Those days are now a distant memory after being the first act to sign to Amigo the Devil and Regime Music Group's burgeoning label Liars Club Records in early 2020. Since then, the group has released an EP (2020's ‘Demons’), a live acoustic record (2020's ‘Monarch Sessions’), an album of traditionals (2021's ‘Stolen Goods’), and a full-length studio album (2022's ‘Thick As Thieves’) under the label. A perfect concoction of songwriting and musicality, non-stop touring, and charming stage personas have allowed the band to build a grassroots following of "Tejomies" (the moniker affectionately given to their fans) across the globe.

The band is ready to take their project to the next level with their bold new studio album ‘Juxtaposition’. The 9-track opus was recorded at Royal Recordings in Colorado Springs with producer Bill Douglass and sees Tejon finding new ways to integrate an array of genres like Americana, Bluegrass, Folk and Punk into one confident record.

"The album is about life and death, love and loss, partying and sobriety. The album encompasses the wide range of emotions we’ve experienced over the life of our band," said vocalist/banjo player Connor O’Neal. "We explored the differences in our writing styles and combined them in a way that creates an ebb and flow of fun party jams and serious, and sometimes heartbreaking, Americana anthems. Inspired by our friends and family, the whole world was our canvas for ‘Juxtaposition’."

The album features an array of impressive tunes, like intense rock opener "Monster Truck Explosion Fuck", banjo-infused party anthem "Smoking Is Cool”, Americana heartbreaker “Can’t Remember”, and protest song “Blue Lives Murder”, which was written in the wake of Eric Garner’s death.  "I wrote 'Blue Lives Murder' after the murder of another innocent man who died at the hands of police, and let my anger come out in this song," commented Tejon vocalist/guitar player Shawn D’Amario.

Outside of recorded music, Tejon Street Corner Thieves' live show is truly an unforgettable experience. Fans enjoy the party atmosphere and like to let loose a little– they may end up shirtless, crowd surf, or turn the crowd into a bluegrass mosh pit. Their live show has earned them tours with a diverse roster of artists that includes heavy hitting artists The Dead South, Amigo the Devil, and Trampled By Turtles. Tejon Street Corner Thieves’ unique genre blend defies categorization and has earned them slots on premier festivals like the inaugural Rebels & Renegades, Winter WonderGrass, Blue Ox Music Festival. The band will embark on not one, but two European tours in 2023, including a slot at Denmark’s Tønder Festival.

There is something fearless about embracing contrast and celebrating differences inside of music. Tejon Street Corner Thieves’ unique blend of Americana, Folk, Bluegrass, Punk (and a splash of whiskey) proves to fans that you can always find something interesting within the juxtaposition.

  • Jake Hunsinger and The Rock Bottom Band

Jake Hunsinger and The Rock Bottom Band

    Alternative Rock

‘Powerhouse Americana'. This is how Jake Hunsinger and company refer to their sound. A quick listen shows that this is a more than apt description. Based out of Providence, Rhode Island, Hunsinger is an eclectic singer/songwriter and avid student of the Country music songwriting traditions. Supported by his dear friends in The Rock Bottom Band, together they showcase energetic performances with rollicking arrangements, dynamic production, and serene hillbilly harmonies over Hunsinger’s inspired songwriting. Hunsinger's voice itself is described as "a blend of full-bodied soul and a bit of a twang, (he) is able to pull this off in excellent fashion". All of this combines to create something between familiar and nostalgic, as well as the new and exciting.

After releasing the debut EP ‘Jake Hunsinger’ in 2019, and the stand-alone single ‘Lady of the Wild Moor’ in 2020 through Hobo Castle Records, Hunsinger has spent the last two years singing every night possible and writing a new catalog of songs. On any given night, Hunsinger & Co can be found performing in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut with tours and new releases scheduled for 2022.
