Seattle-based harmony-rockers, The Mondegreens, are back with the August 2023 release of A Town I Know. This new EP balances the folk-rock roots that they brought from their northern California home with the synth-laden flavors they developed with 2019’s All Our Neighborhoods. The four-song album, recorded at Anacortes, WA’s The Unknown, features the group’s ever-present three-part harmonies alongside lush instrumental passages, searing guitars, and a diverse rhythmic palette. For fans of The Band, Grizzly Bear, and everything in between, A Town I Know mark’s The Mondegreens’ first release on vinyl and will be supported by a series of western U.S. dates.

The Hasslers, a five piece rock outfit from Missoula, Montana, build songs around lyrics, but they don't skimp on materials. Haunting lap steel ambiance meshes with wailing organ riffs, all behind a forefront of tight vocal harmonies. Recent winners at both the ZMA awards and Sean Kelly's Top of the Mic contest, these kids embody the kind of small town pride you can raise a glass to. Genuine, hard-hitting, MT folk-rock, erudite pool hall rock, doesn't matter what you call it, it's fun to watch and it's good to listen to.
