Hard-hitting indie rock artist Molly Martin describes herself as a “part-time cartoon, full-time wench.” Her songs are strikingly honest, pairing vulnerable lyricism with a grounded sense that nothing should be taken too seriously. Martin grew up on Motown and Classic Rock, and later developed a love for artists such as Pretenders, Courtney Barnett, Soccer Mommy, etc. Growing up with an older brother often meant competing in verbal sparring, which informed the sense of humor and quick wit in Molly’s songs. Best seen in her upcoming unreleased single “I Like Losers” she says, “you talk about the Smiths as if nobody knows, you’re half man half kid mom still folding your clothes, and you won’t stop talking about that time you did blow”. Recorded with Nashville producers Collin Pastore and Jake Finch (Lucy Dacus, Boy Genius, Bre Kennedy), you can look forward to hearing her album Mary in 2022.

Tyler delivers searing guitar structures with meticulous detail.  Kyle’s drumming boasts a seemingly limitless physical display, underpinned by prodigious accuracy.  Bassist JOTA ESE grooves sufficient to render anyone’s inhibitions powerless, and Ric plays the rhythmic field with tumbling, tasty organ currents.  With three records, (Illegal Smiles, Lazy Bones, You are the Pisces) under their belt, and hundreds of shows behind them, Chrome Pony is set to release their newest addition to their catalog, ‘Past Lives’ in early 2016 and continue down the pavement.
