The Paper Machete presents... The Machete Fire Show: A (Hopefully) Non-Flammable Pageant on the Anniversary of The Great Chicago Fire. On Sunday, October 8th, The Paper Machete brings the unbridled heat of Uptown underground comedy to honky-tonk haven Carol’s Pub. We’ve curated ONE NIGHT of piping hot hilarity inspired by The Great Chicago Fire on exactly the 152nd anniversary of the ill-fated event. We’re fighting fire with fire and stacking the deck with an absolutely iconic lineup to tackle this historical event, including: Katie Rich, Guy Van Swearingen, Chad the Bird, Erin Diamond, Carly Oishi, Rogue Schmidt, Andy Fleming, Ross Berman, Blender Bluid, other to be announced acts and, of course, our scintillating emcee Christopher Piatt. Join us for an unforgettable night of live theater as we infuse the best of Chicago comedy into this historic calamity ‘cuz the only thing more Chicago than turning ruin into rapture is chasing a shot of Malort with an Old Style.
