    Indie Rock

    The Lagoons are the musical project of brothers Ryan and Joey Selan. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, the duo first gained recognition for their dreamy, atmospheric sound characterized by smooth vocals, intricate melodies, and lush production after releasing their debut Gems EP in 2016 which helped them establish a growing fanbase. Since then, the duo has expanded their discography, releasing three albums and three EPs and further solidifying their reputation as one of indie pop's most promising acts. Their Southern California roots continue to shine through their unique blend of indie pop, surf rock, R&B, and electronic music creating a unique sonic landscape that draws listeners in with its laid-back vibes and introspective lyrics. Tracks like "California" showcase their knack for crafting catchy hooks and a mood that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. The duo's newest album "Island Hopping" was released on March 29th, 2024.
