    Music

"The Jigsaw Seen - definitely one of the best bands in America right
    now."  BLURT Magazine

If you've somehow managed to miss out on the brilliantly innovative
music of The Jigsaw Seen over the past 25 years, it's a pity but you're
    in luck!
Burger Records will be helping to reintroduce the Los Angeles band's
masterful mix of Art Rock, Psych, Garage and Americana in a Guided By
Voices-inspired campaign by releasing a singles and rarities collection,
"The Jigsaw Seen For The Discriminating Completist" in September. The
tracks on this collection were originally released on the Del-Fi,
Eggbert, Get Hip, Rhino/Warner, Skyclad and Vibro-phonic labels.

The band's previous releases this decade, "Old Man Reverb" (2014),
"Gifted" (2012), "Winterland" (2011) and "Bananas Foster" (2010)
received great reviews from UNCUT (UK), The Sunday Times (UK), The
Independent (UK), The Daily Mirror (UK), Blurt, Glide, Babysue, Big
Takeover, Dagger, PopMatters, All Music, iTunes and countless weekly and
daily papers, also appearing on numerous “Year End Best Of” lists in
the US, UK, Spain, Sweden and Norway. Tracks have been featured on
NPR’s “Song Of The Day” and Magnet magazine’s “MP3 Of The
Day.” The albums appeared on the CMJ Top 200 chart, reaching the Top
10 at numerous radio stations in the US and Canada and receiving airplay
in the UK, Japan, Australia, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain and South
    America.

The Jigsaw Seen's music has been heard in the television series
"Futurama," "Shameless," and "Wilfred" among others, and will be
featured in the upcoming theatrical film "Who Gets The Dog?" starring
    Alicia Silverstone.

The list of bands that opened for The Jigsaw Seen in the '90s includes
the Smashing Pumpkins and Kara's Flowers (Maroon 5.) The Jigsaw Seen
have performed on bills with a diverse assortment of acts including
Brian Wilson, Eels, Afghan Whigs, The Dwarves, The Muffs, The Cynics,
Emitt Rhodes, Davie Allan, Plimsouls, Ann Magnuson and many others.

Jonathan Lea and Tom Currier of The Jigsaw Seen recently performed with
Ray and Dave Davies of The Kinks at their historic reunion in London on
    Dec. 18, 2015.

The Jigsaw Seen recently collaborated with legendary British singer
Terry Reid on the EP "Terry Reid + The Jigsaw Seen LIVE" with all profit
going to benefit children on dialysis via The Pete Quaife Foundation.

The Jigsaw Seen's classic track "My Name Is Tom" is included on the box
set "Children Of Nuggets: Original Artyfacts From The Second Psychedelic
Era" released by Rhino Records/Warner Music in 2005.

The Jigsaw Seen have been nominated for a Grammy and an LA Weekly Award.

    New Rock City

    Rock & Roll

After an intense period of creativity, Kick and Rossano gave birth to an album that would change their lives and their vision about life and music. The album, also called "New Rock City", describes in a very particular and conceptual way their story, being both of them the main characters of a long trip starting from the moment they met taking the same cab in the middle of a lost road and what happened after that throughout the 11 songs/chapters that the album contains. After you press the "play button" you will be immediately immersed in a different world from the moment you start the trip as if it were a video game or a fantasy movie. It invites you to close your eyes and feel what your heart really wants and go for it. Narrated from their most creative and visionary point of view, the two of them travel along a far away land in search of their dreams bringing with them only their deepest and dearest wishes to try to make them true. During that experience they encounter their favorite artists turned into characters that will help them get to New Rock City, "the place where you get to when you follow your heart". That's what this album stands for, freedom, vision, courage and love. This collection of songs, converted to a series of stories, slam from rock n roll to blues to punk. The duo masterfully tackles their sound with some other styles such as twist in the love song "Oh Baby, Baby", doo wop in "Play", surf rock riffs in "Come Join My Way" being "Saving Rock n Roll" the last stop, the anthem of this experience completely inspired by the great CBGB's band The Ramones. This one and others as Blondie, The Clash, Pretenders, Pixies, David Bowie and the earliest Kings of Leon have been responsible for inspiring this work that just scratches the surface of the band's capabilities. Their concept, unique stage image and aesthetic, the electric and raw guitar riffs, the powerful vocals and that fresh and fun sound is making this band more and more popular. Based in the city of New York, the duo just published and produced independently their self-entitled first record in February 2014. Recorded and mixed by Paul Frye (Andy Wallace's main assistant engineer) at The Carriage House Studios in Stamford, Connecticut and mixed at Soundtrack Studios NY.
