Skatepunk
The Basement Party is a surf skate punk band blasting out of Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 2023. They bring a high-octane mix of fast, riff-heavy skate punk and smooth, reverb-drenched surf rock, creating a sound that’s both chaotic and irresistibly catchy. From house shows to skate parks, their music captures the spirit of rebellion and the thrill of the ride.

Karl Kirkpatrick is a guitarist and singer-songwriter based in the Chicagoland area. An artist whose music evokes the punch and soul of Joe Cocker along with the sensitivity and self reflection of Jeff Buckley, Karl's sound has found its home in DIY venues and pubs alike. As a member of the Chicago-based rock band Uncle Pigeon, he's had the distinct pleasure of playing at venues such as Simon's Tavern, Fitzgerald's Sidebar, and Beat Kitchen. As a solo act, backed by Henry Carpender and Phineas Gleber, he's been an active member of the singer-songwriter community of Chicago, performing at Reggie's, Gallery Cabaret, and My Place Ohio. When he's not writing or playing music, he can be found exploring local coffee shops and reading books he can't hope to finish.
