New Jersey rock royalty THE GRIP WEEDS return to Rochester on the heels of their brand new album, "Trip Around The Sun," out just the day before on Oct. 19th. This show marks only the second time THE GRIP WEEDS have appeared in Rochester, which is a reprise of their 2015 appearance at Lovin' Cup. Along with headlining tours of the USA, THE GRIP WEEDS are also the touring band for former PAUL REVERE & THE RAIDERS lead singer MARK LINDSAY. They are also one of LITTLE STEVEN'S favorite musical groups. As heard on the Sirius/XM Underground Garage channel and locally on Mike Murray's "Whole Lotta Shakin' Show" on WRUR-FM. "We like to mix it up in Jersey and The Grip Weeds are a great example. A touch of John Lennon, a bit of The Byrds, a dash of Kinks, a pinch of The Who, and a dollop of more muscular Zombies and you get something quite original actually. With a critically acclaimed comeback album, "WHIMSICALITY" in 2016, and a highly praised new track on "This Is Rock'n'Roll Radio Volume 4" in 2017, a new collection with all his singles, 3 unreleased tracks including two live ones recorded with the band in 2017, is being prepared for release on Record Store Day in April 2019.
