The Gifted Showcase started March 2013. It's a R&B based live music stage, that is also an industry event produced "By Artists for Artists". #ByArtists4Artists is a collaborative collective or supportive initiative that provides a platform for local New York City artists. The showcase has also had artist come to perform that traveled from Washington D.C., Boston MA, Atlanta, GA and Dallas, TX. It's produced and organized by Brooklyn Concrete Mgmt. Artists perform their original music and also flip popular covers making them their own. The showcase happens every month and a half. There are elite judges that critique the artists and the event is super artist-friendly. It's a competition, without truly feeling like one. Music producers, ASCAP executives, A&R and actual signed artists come out to support this showcase. You will hear R&B, Pop, Reggae, Blues, Jazz and Alternative Soul artist perform. It's a night of SOUL! It's definitely a fun after-work event that you don't want to miss.
