Description
Please view our most up-to-date COVID-19 guidelines before entering the show: http://www.tractortavern.com/tractor-covid-guidelines    Latent Print Records & Three Imaginary Girls Present: The Divorce & Slender Means vinyl release party with Carly Nicklaus & Friends (The Catch/Bardot/U.S.E.) 2005 was a really impressive time for the PNW music scene. Not only were bands like, Band of Horses, Aqueduct, and The Long Winters putting out stellar releases, but we were also treated to 2 albums that really helped shape the Seattle sound and scene so spectacularly. The Divorce’s The Gifted Program and Slender Means’ Neon & Ruin.   While we originally planned for this to all happen in 2020 to coincide with the 15-year anniversary of both of these records, that whole pandemic thing slowed things down just a touch. So here we are on their 17-year anniversaries, where they are now old enough to donate blood, fly a helicopter, and see one of those NC-17 movies. You take the wins where you can.   The Divorce's 2nd album, The Gifted Program is filled with smart pop songs laced with catchy riffs and snide lyrics. Emotive, bold, and brilliantly exuberant, the album accurately and acutely captures just what it is The Divorce do best.   Slender Means debut album “Neon & Ruin,” is a powerful and sophisticated debut. As passionate as it is rocking, it is presented with soulful lyrics and convincing brash and bravado, all the while snagging common 1980s melodies and repurposing them for its own ends.   Both of these bands really brought something special to the stage. Filling The Croc, or Neumos, or The Tractor, weekend after weekend. We’re so excited to be able to help these bands take the stage once more and celebrate these albums as they so rightly deserve.
